about the artist
Keenan O’Toole is a Toronto-based artist working primarily in ceramics and sculpture. Her practice explores the tension between structure and instability through systems of line, form, and spatial mapping. Using traditional handbuilding techniques, Keenan transforms references to hidden infrastructures—pipes, grids, wiring—into abstract sculptural works that navigate memory, containment, and architectural space. By cycling between drawing and object-making, she builds imagined frameworks that reflect the psychological and physical systems we inhabit, often without noticing.
