Passenger Contemporary presents

FAMILIAR MATTER, a duo exhibition featuring Toronto-based artists Joshua Advincula and Keenan O'Toole.

Working across distinct disciplines, both artists explore memory, experience, and the ways our surroundings shape us. Advincula draws from family, personal nostalgia, and lived experience, while O'Toole works through ceramics, form, and material to investigate recollection and spatial perception.

FAMILIAR MATTER brings these two practices into conversation, exploring how memory can take shape through people, objects, spaces, and material, and how the things we encounter, inherit, and carry with us can become familiar over time.
